Very disappointing successor, boredom pure.

After seeing such enthusiasm was the first Far Cry at the time that I have it consecutively played through twice, I was of course particularly looking forward to the official sequel. The unofficial sequel Crysis at that time not hit my taste.
After about twenty minutes playing time turned me already disillusionment, evidently one has broken totally new ground with the second part and all science fiction elements thrown overboard, they were the cool weapons, enemies or locations. But one is plugged into a civil war scenario in Africa, with which I can personally not do much, but I want to play does not necessarily negative count.
What I can, however, already clear fault is this: This thing just does not make fun.

Now it is not at all that easy to say concretely what exactly makes Far Cry 2 so deadly boring. In Far Cry 2 is a game that is best compared with GTA, you realize very clearly how it is oriented in many respects it. It has a large world map, different vehicles like jeeps and boats, fetches from different parties from contracts for which one is paid. In between, there is a nice pepper Geballer with various weapons that can be upgraded and so on. Unfortunately, the jobs run this from always follows the same pattern, it fetches its mission is to betakes on the map marked point and makes there first everything to the ground. After that fulfills its task as the steal or destroy a certain object and goes back to the principal. So far so boring, really bad but the constant, eternally long trips from A to B in Far Cry 2 you spend so much time to reach a goal that half would have been enough, for the most part the journey takes much longer than the actual order, then must of course be taken up the back. This makes a fun time, because the landscape is very detailed and the graphics are really convincing and this not particularly hungry hardware. Very soon, however, raises a boredom is unmatched, This is still that we continuously get past a sentry full of soldiers who open firstly immediately with deadly accuracy the fire, and secondly also record the same persecution for even while driving our vehicle unerringly to zersieben. At worst, it is at the end (if you have since survived) before two smoking scrap heap and allowed to continue the journey on foot, how motivating this is so I need probably not be emphasized.

I have no idea why is become of Far Cry 2 that what I'm playing, probably the developers did not have a rope of what it was in the predecessor and asked someone to the strengths of the first part. These were then a very good graphics, a freely accessible map and various means of transportation. Then the developers still thought that certainly does nothing wrong if one properly uses in GTA, which practically is indeed a success guarantee. That is one of them more than the mentioned key data to a game that is fun to develop they did not know well, unfortunately.
Negative is me also noticed that there is hardly a reason to buy new weapons scattered on the map diamond boxes and side quests are totally meaningless, the graphics are sterile and lifeless, already defeated opponents for your next visit once again present the enemy with a Dealing quantity and can even more plug it in, and so on. I really could continue the list for a long time. The game is totally unrealistic despite the lack of science fiction elements, so heals you from evil gunshot wounds through a small syringe (even met a sip of water this purpose), a total shot-up car repaired one by one always turns to the same screw under the bonnet and weapons and ammunition you can, once bought, bring in unlimited quantities from the warehouse. The arms show in record time wear and the main actor is obviously not in a position to fix a fire retardancy, even if he tried continuously. This pitiful but cute animated spectacle you can end fortunately by pressing the button for reloading.

I would like not to go further into detail yet say that I'm disappointed more than 2 of Far Cry, and not just from the perspective of fans of its predecessor. I would recommend anyone to continue to play the first part and to save your money for this piece of work, life is too short for bad games, even if they have a great name.
