Problem 1: The main problem of this lamp is the rigid, unfortunately, very stable lamp stand. I can not tell exactly whether the foot is crooked, or the bearing surface of my fork. But after mounting the lamp shone not straight. Any other lamp from B + M or other DIY lamps are bent into shape here in a few seconds. But Büchel had to accept the idea to construct a massive foot that can be bent no degree without the plastic holder on the lamp. So I had to break down the lamp foot with a pipe wrench and some violence turn in the right direction and then grow again to determine that it is still missing a few degrees several times.
Problem2: I would have gladly returned only because Problem 1 the lamp, but unfortunately then prevented me from Problem 2 of them. The lamp has a fixed connection for the power cable coming from the dynamo. Have rarely seen such a stupid-saving measure. Costs 2 measly slots for a cable really that much? First I had to shorten the cable, therefore before any possible return. Then annoys you about the necessary re-lay cables to the dynamo. Almost every wheel has here but already are the cable and a plug on the Dynamo. To move the all new and the cable, if at all possible, be inserted into the connector at the Dynamo is simply an unnecessary work. Büchel demands here for pennies one pairing of its customers significantly more time-consuming installation.
For the successor to the foot plate of plain build, but again spendieren slots for the cable. (Like any normal lamp)
The luminous image of the lamp is very focused. A slightly wider illumination would be useful to ensure that the alleged 40 lumens would be better used. The brightness of the lamp corresponds, in my opinion, in such a stated with 25 lumens B + M LED front light. The lamp seem a little brighter because the light cone is more focused.
Conclusion for this model: Simply buy back a good B + M and rejoice in the assembly!
