I was a bit worried though, I own 3 Lumix camera and I was really happy, but in the end it is true that the HX20V is a superb device, full of qualities, the modes are easily accessible and logically. .. good, then we can say that it is virtually Panasonic who invented the interface of digital compact cameras, buttons are found on the Sony to the same places with the same functions, a few details. For cons, the settings are more direct and better designed than their old Panasonic and menu hierarchy.
The location of the flash-Zebulon surprised the first time he comes after you get done, especially as it allows the light to be emitted somewhat less in the center than on the TZ30 where it is fixed and integrated. Get used to seize his camera correctly, but I understand that it may put off some.
Small disappointment: no charger supplied with the camera! just a power supply and a USB cable. Thereupon my Lumix come with the charger, were more interesting, because to do well, you have to buy an extra, the device is not given, it gives me a marketing mistake, fortunately, there are accessories compatible cheaper on Amazon.
In use, this device stands up very precise, very fast (well, it is not a reflex either) and the pictures are of excellent quality, hard to miss, though I tried. It is larger than a Lumix FX range, but it has virtually the same footprint as a TZ.
When you look at the pixel, it is true that a watercolor effect appears which is probably due to the JPEG compression used, quite strong but good quality, that gives a precise and natural operation made in the resolutions normal, but requires processing the image a little differently when making fine retouching, which is rare (I prefer working with my DSLR for this kind of photos).
Colorimetry is quite flattering, there may be some extra saturation to render more pleasant without much altering the original subject, settings allow all ways to adjust all this, and you have to spend if we is not satisfied, because only the jpeg format (or MPO for relief shooting) is operated, no RAW, but that is not surprising on a camera.
The HDR mode is bluffing, the pan is so easy that Apple has integrated into its iPhone Video is nickel, I do not go out the camcorder, and stereoscopic images (3D as they say now) are nice, I do not know how they do with one goal, probably by playing on the position of the lens anti shake (very efficient too).
So very satisfied.
