The upper dome of the lamp is made of opaque white polycarbonate material while the body is made of a rubberised plastic material. The design is such that the unit can either stand on its base with the dome pointing up or it may hang down through two neat folding hooks that fold out of the way and the base when not in use.
The unit has an LED with a maximum power of 120 Lumens although you can reduce by pressing the power button which is sufficient to prevent accidental operation firm but easy to use. At a minimum 4 lumens brightness unit run for about 160 hours at full output of 120 lumens for approximately 10 hours on one set of batteries. At minimum brightness lantern is ideal to indicate the entrance to a tent, etc. in the dark while on full brightness, you can read in comfort near the lamp.
This is a well done, neat lantern with a variable brightness and good battery life you can use either direction up or down more, it fits easily in your bag, etc. and comes with a warranty of 3 years suspended. Recommended.
If you live in an area with frequent power cuts, it is always useful to have an alternative source of energy at hand. This lamp is ideal. This is much safer than a candle.
He gives 120 lm of light and hang it by its top clip to provide down lighting or you can lay it flat on a table to forgo lighting.
The other good thing is that it has a function by which you can reduce to different lighting levels. The battery lifetime is given as 160 hours.
I was also pleased to discover that the LED bulb seemingly ever changing needs. It is splash resistant so you can use it around the pool or in the bathroom to give a soft and relaxing light to bathe if you prefer to avoid by candles. They are also very safe for night lights outside or hanging in a conservatory that does not have a connector for other lighting.
