Some regret anyway:
- Photos of trees are a little small: it is not always well aware of the general appearance of the tree. Fortunately, each is associated has a small drawing of its flower and its fruit.
- Regardless of amphibians and reptiles (12 of each in all and for all) and little marine fish (only 14).
Some things I enjoyed ::
- For the birds, in addition to the photo, drawing of each species in flight
- For almost all mammals photo of an adult (male or female) + more small photo of the opposite sex and small.
- Many insects are drawn with their larva. All butterflies are thus presented with their caterpillar which is very rare in this kind of really appreciable and general guide.
I highly recommend this book, complete perhaps with the excellent "Wildlife" by Larousse pocket which offers nearly 300 species of mammals, reptiles and amphibians in Europe for ten euros.
However, if you (or live) to the seaside, I advise you seashores guide in delachaux associated with a bird book (there is also a collection Larousse pocket)
Enjoy reading!
