The iPad Air is processed very valuable and very easy for a tablet of this size. However, to move now and newer tablets from the Android camp in this weight class and undercut the iPad Air partially.
Setup and operation are in my view very simple and easy and easy to learn for beginners. The iPad Air is "only" 1 GB RAM and despite "only" dual-core processor even with several open applications quickly, stuttering or delays are not discernible. Since it is considered by many - the paper for "potent" - Android tablets other usual (keyword: micro stuttering).
Bad solved is the mounting of stereo speakers for me. These are located on a narrow side of the iPad close to each other. If you see a movie or a video, the sound coming from only one side. What the Apple developer has ridden there, is beyond me. Why not bringing stereo speakers to two opposing sides?
Another disadvantage is due to the system: the lack of adaptability. I like for example, not the on-screen keyboard. Why not on the letter still brings a series of numbers, such as to bring the many tablets in the Android area already innately, is for me inexplicable. Place for it would be available in any case. As I said, get the other now and this would simplify the operation in my eyes even further. While if not satisfied the standard on-screen keyboard can easily be another re-install the Android area, this does not go with iOS. You have to take the keyboard as it is. Why the keyboard sometimes white and sometimes black, I also do not understand so completely (that changes the color of the keyboard depending on the application, I knew not yet). What was new for me, too, that the keyboard will always appear in capital letters (the display of the letters exchanged with Android on the keyboard, depending on whether one large or small writes).
Sometimes I miss a back or a menu button. Pressing the Home key at times back to the home screen, and sometimes only one level. A separate back button I would find personally better (but that's just my opinion, as a former Android users). Sometimes you also would like a menu button to bring up a context sensitive menu and to make adjustments.
These little "annoyances" let me deduct a point, the overall impression is positive but definitely. I am pleased that I - unlike my previous Android tablet - have no lockups and crashes more and everything runs as smooth as silk. But sometimes I miss just a few cherished "peculiarities" of Android.
