However, it had to be a machine with integrated milk frother, because this had been the latissima with which we prepared our Nespresso coffee, and we were used to it.
When the plane arrived, I was surprised he even how small the unit is. The last fully automatic in our household was almost twice as wide with otherwise quite similar dimensions.
The fully automatic machines were the following additional components at:
* A milk jug with foam attachment.
* A plastic handle to adjust to the grinder.
* A tube of grease for moving parts of the brew group.
* A manual.
Unlike our previous fully automatic machines is used in this machine the water tank from the top into the fully automatic machine. This can become a problem when low-hanging wall units. In our kitchen it comes up just like the tank to lift the machine without him to tilt it. But since we only take him to clean out, I feel that not as disturbing. The capacity of the water tank is using the Brita water filter about 1.2 liters.
The bean container is also located on the top of the machine and is relatively small. However, in turn, has the advantage that the coffee does not lose by lying too long on flavor because it is not hermetically sealed in the bean container. With a little practice you can the bean container as the water tank refill, even under the wall units without having to move the machine.
Is the container for dripping water and in the waste container on the front. With uneven worktops, as with us, the front panel braced unfortunately somewhat because the small state studs are attached to the bottom of the drip tray. If the cup simply hooked into the machine, then that would not happen.
Laterally to reach the brewing unit, which can be cleaned regularly under running water, and then absolutely should be treated with the grease supplied. Cleans to the group does not, then it is even possible that mold is formed on the rear side. Non-greasy to them, then the Trestersieb not move neatly upwards and the water it runs laterally on coffee break in the drip tray.
The menu is kept very simple. Even fewer points would hardly be possible. This makes the machine very easy to use. Despite all the important points such as temperature, hardness setting, decalcification, Brita filters and specialty coffee are included as well as a variable switch-off to save power. If everything is OK the display will light green, with hints it is yellow, and when the machine can not be used because about no water in the tank, then the indicator will turn red.
Now, after one year operation and about 1,600 cups of coffee, I can say that
+ The operation of this machine is very easy
+ The detachable milk frother super foam makes (temperature should be at max)
+ The coffee really tastes very good (we use Jacobs Cafe Crema Classico or Lavazza Crema Cafe Classico)
+ There is a stable good crema
+ Me no beans residues in the cup
+ The machine is relatively quiet
+/- The grounds container is relatively small. From a hygienic point of view but that is to be welcomed, because otherwise pretty fast mold is created in the waste container.
- The drip tray is always full to the brim when the grounds container must be emptied (even though we always have a cup under the spout so that the rinse water does not come into the drip tray.
- Lands behind and under the brewing unit pretty much coffee powder
- There is no rinse function for the milk nozzle (at the Nespresso machine could steam through the milk nozzle allow to remove residues.
On the whole we are very satisfied with the machine and they would not want to swap for another.
Update on 04/27/2015:
Meanwhile, the machine well 1,000 espressos and cafe latte has produced since the review. Two things are far more negative noticed me:
1. As already mentioned, there is no rinse function for the milk frother. If you want to flush the nozzle after use, you have to take it from the top and clean under running water. That should really do regularly, because like residues remain in the fine lines of the milk frother. This gives the milk froth then a sour taste.
2. The brewing unit tends to tense up. The machine usually clacks then loud and sounds very hard. Through extensive grease the connection between machine and brewing unit can be but fixed quickly.
After more than a year, we are still very satisfied with the machine and the coffee quality.
Incidentally, we use the Brita water filter, so that the calcification is at least emotionally less. However, we have a water softener in the house, who brings the water hardness anyway at 7 ° DH.
I share my experiences like. Was this review helpful, then I would be happy with a click on YES. If there is no information, then leave just a comment I read all :-)
