Was looking for a powerful laptop, with SSD and BluRay drive, a powerful graphics card, 16 GB RAM, HDMI interface and ever reasonably future-proof, virtually a portable desktop system of the better middle class to take along on the journey or in general as a replacement. It should also be suitable for gaming, but not priced more than 1500 euros. As I have already had good experience with a better Asus notebook, I finally decided on the Asus GL771JM-T7093H and did not regret it until now. Although the design is not just suits my taste, but because my inner values ​​were more important.

Positives:
+ Good quality and powerful notebook at competitive price
+ Pretty future proof, one should even after several years still get spare parts
+ Trouble-free installation, actually everything is going right away, there is not even big a guide at
+ Startup and Shutdown of Windows that is installed on the SSD, in just seconds

Negatives:
- Windows 8.1, it is fast and works amazingly well, but the service just annoying, unfortunately I could not wait for Windows 10
- The BD drive is on the right instead of the left, the car comes with it when you eject a disk mouse in the way that you are a right-handed course, right, left-handed would be a +
- Reads the BD drive and indeed writes DVDs, but Blu-Ray can only be read
- No player for movies on DVD and Blu-Ray

The compatibility is surprisingly high. I have also brought 8.1 on the notebook is off in Windows some older games from the Windows XP era without any major problems and running, eg Tomb Raider Legend, Shadowgrounds, Sid Meier's Railroads.
