The data transfer speed depends on the formatting of the stick:
FAT32
The speed at a 4 GB file:
with USB 2: write 26-28 MB / s read 33-35 MB / s
with USB 3: write 160-187 MB / s read 190-215 MB / s
with many small files (Excel and Word documents):
write and read at about 20-25 MB / s
These values are available for both large and small files better than me and I have achieved so far with no stick
(3x USB 3 and 4 USB sticks 2 sticks)
Now I come to the overall assessment and why the Stick "only" 4/5 stars clears:
+ Does not get hot
+ Price / performance ratio in my eyes (fast 64 GB for 64)
+ Consists of plastic grade
+ Is very fast
- Is very long, protrudes in the inserted state out far
(Therefore connected via a USB extension cable 3)
- Is not recognized by all 3 USB controllers, 2 stroke can then only be controlled via a USB
(Also in Parallels 8 with USB he does not support 3)
The only "downside" is so that he 3 device can not always be used as a USB. Since I have no problems with Mac`s above, a list of incompatible controllers would be quite useful. Maybe write all those who have this problem, a comment with your configuration?
