Chosen to overcome the lack of space in my MacBook A1181 model. First restoration with the 120GB HDD Disk Utility found in the MacBook connected to this Samsung 500GB USB (with brick Enermax Enermax bought the same day - Brick - HDD Enclosure 2.5 "- SATA - USB 2.0 - Silver ). Duration: 3 hours. Boot test, and finally replacing the disk. Everything is moving. The record is silent, does not heat. It seems faster to access, but this may be because it is not full.
I do not know the endurance of the material, but currently I am delighted with my purchase. Good quality and good value.
My old disk is in the brig Enermax and serves as my big USB key !!!
May 2013: I come back to that after more than a year of use, it still works, power day and night. Excellent record, which in turn becomes a bit small :-)
