This Snap Shield is quite thin and therefore more of a consumable item, as a commodity is. Also with me the corners are torn and broken. But it was only after 1 year. That's why I bought it for the second time, because it does not hide the beautiful iPad like other cases. I deliberately decided against the SmartCase because this iPad completely enveloped and then I do not see anything more from the iPad. For me, the combination of Smart Cover and this Snap Shield is perfect.

Addendum: The second Snap Shield held only felt two weeks so I've now got for Christmas but a SmartCase. That is why a star deduction.
