Before I bought the camera, I was of the opinion that a full HD movie function is superfluous bells and whistles at a dSLR. By now I've added a couple of movies, and I have to revise my opinion. The 60D replaces a mid-range video camera completely. The quality of the recorded sound via the internal microphone is quite enough. If you want more, includes an external stereo microphone.
I use the camera primarily with a Sigma 18-250 mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens. The picture quality is very good, in my opinion, also with ISO3200, the noise is limited.
I, as an advocate of Aperture and Time Machine, find myself even when using the many built-in programs that can be individualized even in many subtleties.
I would recommend the camera for those looking for a high quality, stable and functional dSLR.
