The bottom of this pad is rubberized and is rock solid on my desk. You have to spend quite a lot of energy to move it. The upper surface seems to be a plastic. It is about the size of my old mouse pads and this size, I find to be very pleasant. I almost did not come to the edges of the pad.
I do not know how it behaves with other mice, but in interaction with my G700 the mouse pad is very good. It slides without resistance through the pad and can be controlled very precisely. In the beginning I had to get used to it first.
Another advantage compared to a foam variant is the easy cleaning. Simply use a damp cloth over it and you're done. My old mouse pad I had much more intense cleaning, especially if you are smoking.
Whether you want to spend so much money for a mouse pad and if it ultimately is worth the money must have each decide for themselves. I would buy myself the G440 at any time.
