I opted for the P17 because I have a smaller flashlight with Cree LED. The lamp makes a solid impression and delivers an impressive light output. However, the "streamlined" design is certainly very well suited for pretty product photos. In practice, this lamp is however quite "flutschig" in his hand. they must therefore always hold quite well; especially if you have sweaty palms. Only drawback is that the lamp placed on a sloping surface, immediately unrestrained rolls out somewhere. Here, for example, would a wrist strap, which then also serves as a "roller brake", certainly a good innovation. The switch is mainly arranged just right and significantly better placed than the snaps on the backs of many lamps, even if this is by design easier. However, I find the pressure switch rather impractical. This "Press" for the different switching stages is simply annoying. Here I would slide switch to the upstream pushbutton for the "flashing function" wish like a good old flashlight. Also, I would focus as a function of rotation prefer - although I realize that this means a greater technical complexity.
