I drink about 10 cups of coffee a week, broth me 90% an espresso I then shuffle Macchiato with frothy milk for cappuccino or latte. But even espresso and "normal" coffee made with it, everything tastes good.
At that time I decided to go for this machine because it is built very narrow compared to other machines of this kind (I have a very small kitchen and little working surface as do 10 cm already what from) and because they gave me, by design, very good liked.
Another reason for me was that easy to take with machines of DeLonghi the brewing unit and is therefore easy to clean. Since what we hear from time to time of mold in the coffee maker, I was very important. The removal is also really easy, you have to remove the water tank, may then open a door and remove the brewing unit by Zusammendrucken two buttons. Then rinse with hot water and reinsert it. It's just a good feeling to know that the interior is clean.
Super I find as latte macchiato drinker also that the coffee dispensing can be pushed quite far upward. I can thus filled with milk latte glasses topsy questions and does not have to decant. Then then you can also reach the layers look (Espresso floats above) as the coffee house :-)
The cappuccino maker I've never used it since to do with the handling aspect is rather the milk separately in the pot warm and then dazuzuschütten as to foam with the machine. The foaming I had to clean by hand, the pot I put in the dishwasher ('m single, war, eh never fully).
A word on Flüstermahlwerk ... so that does not exist. I know of no machine that grinds coffee beans really quiet. I know some people with Jura, Saeco with ... all of which are more or less noisy. The sound of this machine is ok for my taste, although I is not a whisper, it's not so loud that the neighbors hear it.
But there are also a couple of small mistakes on the machine.
* The storage grid will remove through the re-use and the water tank at the place incredibly quickly scratched (and the water tank is made of plastic !!!). This looks like a year already from quite bad.
* I use because of the strong hard water in our special filters that can be used in the water tank. The machine is, however, no signal when needs to be changed (although you have to notify the change of the filter of the machine via the menu). So you have to even think about it when 2 months have to (go for months or cup number because I do not drink so much coffee I change after 2 months, the number of cups I therefore do not know by heart - would, however, change the fact that there is no message to remain so).
* The maximum amount of coffee that can be produced is quite small (I think only 180 ml - not sure, but my coffee cups are not nearly full). Obviously, you can manage if you directly presses the button for 2 cups and coffee then can only run in one, but hiring the right coffee strength is then not quite so clear).
* There are only 5 cup sizes and only 5 coffee strengths to choose from. For me, that enough, I just wonder about it because we in the office also an older DeLonghi and is continuously adjustable via a dial. Where there is the sense of I do not know, it does not bother me personally, since I mainly drink alone, it now not 4 people in the household are all like different coffee ...
CONCLUSION:
I wanted a coffee machine of good espresso and coffee making, is not too great, looks nice and also affordable (the fully automated luxury machines with milk container and automatic frothing milk, cleaning, descaling and what else is all there would be my dream, but for me just too expensive).
All this applies to the machine too full terms of compromising what display technology and automation, I have taken a few hundred in buying and that's okay for me. Can So good conscience the machine.
