I wanted a Noise Reduction Headset for the following reasons:
-Better concentration in the office (many PCs with fan noise, tw. significantly in industrial PC, according to be discussed and telefonierende colleagues)
-angenehmere times when traveling by air (due to tw. high noise levels can be with conventional open headphones eg no radio play and
very limited listening to music)
-besseres "off" at several places ("Talk noise", ambient noise)
Since I had already googled before, I knew that a NR headphones not all requests will be able to meet, but I wanted to at least
times to test how far the effect of these headphones is really about.
After reviewing several tests of Bose seems lonely to be at the forefront with regard to action well, unfortunately in terms of cost
(Ca. 350-400). In other comparisons, then the Panasonic crystallized for me as the model with the seemingly best price / performance
ratio out, moreover, it is a relatively new model, which in turn hopes for improved filter characteristics compared to older
Raises models.
As mentioned in other reviewers, the following facts have to be aware of:
NR headphones are either In-Ear Earphones (so I wanted a not due to the pressure feeling) or closed headphones, the ear, the
relatively narrow and firmly clasped
NR headphones only work in "lower frequency ranges" (see in my tests); higher-frequency sounds are only the passive
Measures (tight-fitting ear cups, the padding material) and the simultaneous use of eg music reduced or overlaid
Votes not be reduced only under certain conditions with regard to noise scope (see in my tests); most women and
Children's voices are also passively filtered
Equipment and processing
The headphones come with a hard case that / can also enough space for a not too large MP3 MP4 Player. The processing of
Headphone itself is very good, the portions are very stable, only the opening of the left ear cup for inserting battery seems a bit
hakelig, but not unstable. The earpieces themselves are a bit small, but the headphones in the transport state is still
halfway handy. The switch for the noise reduction is on the left side and is easy to operate with an attached earpiece.
On the inside of Hardcases is still a small zipper pocket for spare batteries, memory cards, etc.
Carrying behavior
Despite the relatively small ears during extended wear never annoying or unpleasant, although it is a closed receiver;
rather it is the case that after some time
the listener can not feel. However, it can in people with "long head" may be a little tight; the mussels are indeed some
Centimeters extendable, still the overall design is rather scarce; here just trying.
Effect
Below my "testing" that are naturally evaluated by my subjective, but at least provide guidance on what the listener can
and what is not.
The following tests were carried out all without music or radio play, so "only" with activated NR, unless otherwise stated.
Vacuums:
was the first test and also the most disappointing; Our vacuum cleaner is mainly characterized by a high-frequency whistling
Noise from which is hardly filtered.
Washer and dryer: here the effect of NO and the passive damping by the earcups has already become apparent; Only the placement
the listener already brings a certain loss; it then switches the NR a (comes with 2-4 seconds delay), one learns a significant
Noise reduction.
Office: here the effect was probably at frapierensten - it is simply no longer aware, cause much noise running fans, etc.!
NR switch -> Paste soothing peace !!!!!!!
Discussions of colleagues etc. - are filtered> although voices generally limited (lower frequency components), so still is the effect
clearly felt in discussions of male colleagues: the "Dröhnwirkung" the low-frequency components is eliminated, the "volume" of the higher frequency
Shares are apparently less involved in the "talking noise", so that one hears a soothing reduce the noise level even here.
If you play then additionally music in his ears, you can switch off wonderfully well in a hectic office (if that is allowed!).
Plane: Again, the effect is outstanding; turning on the NR bringing relative calm, only the higher-frequency turbine noise and
Noise of the ventilation systems are still dampened audibly. Music is enjoying again possible also radio plays. Loudspeaker announcements are
still audible.
General courses / ambient noise / noise discussion
Here, the above statements: by combining passive (fitting earpieces) and active (NR) loss one experiences a general
soothing and tw. very significant reduction of environmental noise; with additional music or radio play can be very good "off completely".
The studded winter tire
Recently I was on business in Finland go (in winter) and we had from the airport to our goal of a longer distance with car
cover. There, the car still studded winter tires !!!!! Leads to safe driving behavior, unfortunately, also to sustained long-term
Booming noise when the road is not snow, but ice or dry.
Again: Headphones on, NR a, ... rest. Only minimal road noise was still audible.
Energy consumption
Is fed to the headphones with a 1.5V AAA battery. This has now developed into a period of about 7 weeks, two air travel with total duration of approximately
13 hours, two car rides (2 hrs.), A few days in the office (about 30 hours) survived and is still working.
Playback quality
I have at home a quality Phillips and go a Koss KSC70, so I can have a good
Pull relative comparison, although all comparisons have naturally always subjective.
The Panasonic has (eg Jann Tiersen) given on its own strange sounds in some songs, so I already
thought the NR-electronics "to do what". When listening closely and cross-comparison, however, it turned out that the Panasonic all
"Sound components" of the musical piece reproduces in great detail and excellent dissolves - this is the disturbing noises then presented as
well resolved out clicks the bass register and the buttons on the accordion. Because you have to then get used to, but you do very quickly.
In general it seems to me the rendering quality to be very high; the Music "jumps quickly," one hears no "veil on the music"
the bass is "crisp", the sound is "clear", so you are well prepared for classical pieces.
Murmur
If you switch the NR without music in a quiet environment, you can hear a slight noise. You then is, however, "in ambient noise", takes
it was the case only slight noise is no longer, as ambient noise and music exceed the noise by far.
Overall conclusion:
Playback quality in music and radio plays great, noise reduction quality also. Price / performance in my opinion, very good !!
Quite the noise never disappear, but they are reduced extremely effective in many cases. All in all, I would like these headphones
