The Girl on the Train (Paperback)

Customer Review

I really enjoyed this novel. The plot is not bad. The smooth writing, well ventilated.
The author tells the story of Rachel Watson, divorced, alcoholic, psychomaniaque, depressed. But also to Megan and Anna. We follow the story of three women, who still have in common.

Having never been able to have children (the main reason for his alcoholism) with her ex-husband, Tom, Rachel finds hosted at a friend Cathy. It only lie to everyone and continues to believe, even to her friend, she goes every morning to his work while she was fired! Realizing "supposedly" in her work, she takes the same train every day. He who passes by her old house with Tom and that of his "old new" neighbors. From there, she imagines their life, their respective first names ... creates a film. But one day the wife Megan, kissing a man other than her husband, Scott.
From that moment, nothing goes. Rachel will embark on a race to know the reasons for this betrayal and tragedy occurs: Megan is murdered. Rachel redoubling its efforts and take the interviewers to play on his death. Anything goes: the husband, Scott, violent, lovers, her ex-husband Tom Tom's new wife, Anna ...
In short, we discover the three main characters: Anna, Megan and Rachel through the chapters on a background of alcoholism, betrayal, adultery, paranoia ...
I really enjoyed this thriller despite some a little soft passages and redundancies between chapters.
