The differences in consumption in my system (Intel i5 2500K, AMD 270X R9, X-Fi, 1xSSD, 1xHDD and Bluray drive), the LC-Power are enormous for Seasonic G-450:
LC-Power LC6550 V1.3:
Idle: 80 Watt
Full load: 305 Watt
Seasonic G-450:
Leelauf: 59 Watt
Full load: 227 Watt
I just decided against the beQuiet Straight Power E9, it provides similar performance data and also 5 years warranty while a quieter fan, but the built-in electronic components are not as high as in the Seasonic G-450, which promise mainly greater stability and durability ,
When the G-Sasonic 450 does not drive to its performance limits, but the fan for me is also here almost inaudibly, my Scythe S-Flex Gehäuseüfter is somewhat more audible.
Pro:
+ Very efficient, low power consumption
+ 5 year warranty with supposedly good support in D
Installed + quality electronic components
+ Delivery, with pocket for cables
Contraindications:
- Removable ribbon cable can be stowed in the housing worse
- A bit expensive
Conclusion:
In addition to the G-450 Sesaonic I had a short FSP Aurum S (identical to BeQuiet Straight Power E9) in the computer, and this yielded consumption comparable to the Seasonic. According to my present experience I must say that when power supplies brand appliances are really better than the Billigheimer. The power supply is actually underrated component in the PC.
For Seasonic I can only say that it for 2 months unobtrusive, quiet and stromsprend giving good service. :-)
