I'll start with the big negative of this tablet: its autonomy.
For a portable console, its battery consumption (less than 30min game with brands of batteries) is simply frightening, and to play quietly, it is essential to connect it, which is far from practical to I repeat, a portable console.
I was hoping Leapfrog take note of this problem we already found in previous consoles (explore, LeapPad 1) but apparently not. Lack of consumer listening?
Especially as the charger is not supplied with the console, even nonsense, in my opinion, that annoys me greatly, giving me the impression of being a cash cow.

So, ladies and gentlemen LeapFrog, thank you to finally take account of the opinions of your customers and to ensure that either your consoles are less intensive battery or charger to supply. Given the price of the console is the least thing!

Now that my rant is over, talk about the rest, which is currently positive.

The console, heavy surprise (at least in my opinion), is nevertheless very robust. Supplied with a protective cover, it would be ideal.
Nevertheless, I fear that the 3/4 years age group is a little small for this console, because I'm afraid that a fall, very common at this age, the death knell of the console.
Although already fallen once here, she did not have a scratch.

Noise level still work to do. The lowest level is still a bit high in my opinion. Nevertheless, the sound is clear, clean, very nice. The ability to put a helmet can overcome the sound issues.

The image is also very beautiful. The videos are just beautiful, with bluffing quality. I've tested a cartoon and I found the quality equivalent to that of a TV very nearly.
No cut, slower, so perfect.

One of the applications already provided to create a cartoon, basic, certainly, but interesting for the target age group, as easy to use. And it allows them to be aware of the back of the decor.

Another application can learn the alphabet by learning to write letters, first in the capital and in printing ... Very good idea for 5/6 years.

The stylus is attached to the console, which allows to avoid losses.

A button at the bottom of the screen to return at any time to the home screen, another good point for this console.

I would end by the camera. The definition pictures is not yet perfect, but much improved from previous consoles. The tool of fun retouching particularly pleases our kitties.
To film short videos is a plus, too.

It's a shame we can not add memory (USB or memory card), to avoid being quickly saturated.

The park allows Explorer to download a wide range of applications, music or videos (pay).

I found here a good product, but suffers from the same deficiencies as its predecessors (autonomy, memory, volume adjustment), which is a shame when you see the improvements and quality of this new tablet.
It would have been almost perfect otherwise.
