Very good product with a big shortage

I have years used electric toothbrushes from Braun in different forms. As the first Philips Sonicare was introduced (the model was then sold in Europe only from specialty stores), I bought it and used around 1-2 years. Then I switched back to brown due to the high cost brush.
Eventually, Philips has revised the Sonicare model, changed the brush attachments, and I am again landed at Philips. I use this toothbrush very much and am basically very satisfied. They clean very good and gentle. The brush heads are exactly right and the UV disinfection equipment I find useful.

However, there is unfortunately a big problem in these Sonicare toothbrushes. I have to load some pictures on Amazon. See customer pictures. In 4 years, me 3 hand parts are broken at exactly the same place (in each case after about a year) - the transition between the attachment clutch and the drive. This is a unique vulnerability of this product and I'm surprised that it was still not resolved by Philips.

The defect manifests itself in a higher volume when cleaning that can be seen only in direct comparison as such. The cleaning effect can be clearly and after the coupling piece (metal bar) is above more flexible than usual. These are all indications that the fault has occurred.

As much as I like this product: the costs are already higher than that of Brown (device and brushes are more expensive), but the wear is driving this cost even further into the air. I'll use the last butt to it also is broken. After that I will go to the manufacturer.
