Warning the media to record is not supplied with, like all DTT decoders recorders sold in this price range. It will cost 30 more to obtain a high performance USB key or 60 for a 500GB HDD.
To comply with the new European regulations on energy conservation, the antenna output is disabled by default on Version 2, to reactivate it you must go to the Installation menu> Antenna> RF Loopthrough and select activate option.
Regarding the multimedia part, as with all products of this type sold very cheap, do not expect a high level decoding. The primary purpose of this device is truly save TNT. So if you want a box for playing all types of media files, with lots of features dedicated, it is better to go your way and move to another product or to buy a product and more dedicated to reading multimedia files.
In summary the CGV Etimo 2T is a good product for people who do not want to overspend in a dual tuner DVR.
A yes to receiving the product, install the latest update as it brings fixes and nice improvements.

- Playback of various video formats: AVI, DIVX, XVID, VOB, MKV, MPEG1 MPEG2 TS, M2TS ... but let's be clear on a product sold between 59 and 80 do not expect to have the same decoding capabilities that a product sold more expensive. The main aim of the GTC is to record TNT HD cheaply
- Low power consumption, less than one watt in standby and 10 watts in operation with a connected USB HDD above (recording two HD channels at once and at the same time viewing an HD recording).
- Different recording modes (once, daily, weekly and working days)
- Recordings readable on pc.

Information and tips:
- To comply with the new European regulations on energy conservation, the antenna output is disabled by default on Version 2, to reactivate it you must go to the Installation menu> Antenna> RF Loopthrough and select activate option.
- If "Limit: Recorded CAN not!" appears on the screen after a few records, I invite you to make a check of your USB media on your PC for this problem.
- For better performance of the recording function I advise over format media in FAT32 with 32KB cluster size because it is more suited to the difficult task of recording a quick video streams in HD, NTFS support is longer has to be recognized and this can generate crashes. This is true with most Freeview recorders. If you want to use the Etimo to play MKV files larger than 4GB, so you can create two partitions on your hard disk, FAT 32 for receiving records and a second NTFS to receive media files. Or use 2 usb supports a FAT32 for records and a second NTFS for playback of MKV files larger than 4GB.
- To move rapidly with the volume keys, you must first press the info button or play or pause, when the information banner is displayed on the screen you can use the volume keys to fast forward or rewind and when the selected point interests you, you press the OK button.
- To play a recording while it is recording, simply go to the channel you record and press 2 times the Info button, and not on usb list as indicated in the instructions.
- When recordings overlap, we must put 2 minutes apart between the late first and early second, or whether to start the second recording before the end of the first.
