Very good recorder TNT

Overall Xoro HRT 8300 is a good product, like its direct competitor the CGV CGV Etimo Etimo 2T 2T HD digital recorder with dual tuner TNT-HDMI USB
it is very stable. It lets you record and program 2 channels at a time, while viewing an old recording simultaneously (To play a recording while it is recording, simply go to press 2 times the Info button and then the list of recordings appears). The picture quality is very good. The menus are simple and well made. The ALI M3606 chipset works very well and does its job (no regular crashes, no need to have 2 partitions to use the timeshift, bucking TS files is done properly)

Warning the media to record is not supplied with, like all DTT decoders recorders sold in this price range. It will cost 30 more to obtain a high performance USB key or 60 for a 500GB HDD.

Upon receiving the product, install the latest update as it brings bug fixes.

Positive points from the GTC Etimo 2T:
- Possibility to adjust the menu transparency
- Possibility of several markers in the records to be able to resume playing at various desired locations, or identify the best moments.
- Recordings are named by the EPG provides

Negative points from the GTC Etimo 2T:
- The unit does not switch to standby after the end of recording in the manual mode, only if the program mode is used.
- You can not adjust the size of quick jumps in 30 sec, 1-5-10-30 min. We can do that jumps 30 seconds ..
- When you initiate a recording, you do not know the time remaining on the usb support, only a percentage of the fill rate USB Support
- No timeshift in manual mode (only Automatic mode) This is unfortunate because when a recording is started, you can not pause show's ongoing.
- Only one USB port on the front
- A less ergonomic remote control
- Recording only in TS, no choice between TS and MPEG2 for SD channels
- The appliance starts in German during the first installation

Information and tips:
- If "Limit: Recorded CAN not!" appears on the screen after a few records, I invite you to make a check of your USB media on your PC for this problem.
- To move rapidly with the volume keys, you must first press the info button or play or pause, when the information banner is displayed on the screen you can use the volume keys to fast forward or rewind and when the selected point interests you, you press the OK button.
- To play a recording while it is recording, simply press 2 times the Info button.
- When recordings overlap, we must put 2 minutes apart between the late first and early second, or whether to start the second recording before the end of the first.
