The driver / pilot book was my adapter did not work in W7 (the system could not identify the adapter). I have found one that fonctionait perfectly on the Alpha site. Once the adapter was online, sometimes finding WIFI reports of greater distances, beacoup better than the antenna on my netbook. I use it on my boat anchor and normally has covered distances without obstructions is at least 1 km.
