Karajan recorded four times this Missa solemnis and three times he managed a masterstroke.
This work suits him like symphonies.

This recording is the second conducted in 1966. It is beautiful.

The first realized in 1958 is also very successful with the Philharmonia, Schawrzkopf, Ludwig Gedda, Zacharia.

The third realized in 1975 is probably the most beautiful. Perfection of the orchestra (Berlin) and the vocal quartet
Janowitz, Balsta, Schreier, Van Dam. In addition sound quality that lets you enjoy the performance of singers.

The fourth 1985 is unnecessary.

It will be a shame to me to forego the version 1975, which is available on the website.
