My test photos were taken with a Nikkor lens 1.8, 50mm. The 1: 1 recordings are useful from Aperture 5.6, if only the center of the picture is important. From aperture 11 a small edge blur is only visible. At aperture 16 the image is sharp to the brim. If lightning or longer exposure times can be used, very good macro shots can be achieved. My hope therefore to be able to digitize negatives, the lens could not quite meet. The files obtained with aperture 16 allow at least enlargements 10x15 in usable quality.
