CONSTRUCTION:
Actually, I was very skeptical about such telescope systems. They are very fragile and unstable, but I wanted to try this time, even with my big camera. Construction was pretty fast, faster than with conventional tripods. With a little force the 8-piece legs were driven out quickly.
FUNCTION:
I have tried it with Zoom H4N (about 800gr) and my Sony NEX VG20 (+ SEL18200 lens). Together with the lens, the weight of the camera about 1200gr. Surprisingly, the little tripod has endured this. Clearly, the legs were thereby significantly apart, but one can fold up the legs - the last 2 stages are quite stable and can withstand what. Folding is still a matter of habit - Turn 2 level, all other push together. How I can leave only the desired number of levels, without compromising stability or my fingers to hurt is beyond me.
The tripod head is also surprisingly good. Although I do not believe in Kugelköpf, have rather bad experiences with it, but the tripod plate is made of metal - as thin as she is, she has endured my 1.2 kg heavy camera without problems. Thus legs are a little harder on the floor, the non-slip, rubber-coated feet really help very much, especially on slippery ground. Only then the tripod can ever wear such a degree.
CONCLUSION:
This tripod is very inexpensive. This little thing, has it really a lot and is really compact than any other stand in the height class. However, the legs very fragile and we should really handle it carefully, without stress and anger. Once bent - that's it then must go well on a par dispense well..
