In our new house "Merten Argus Basic" Smoke Detector has been (without radio) delivered and installed by an electrician.
These are certainly not bad after all, and they bear the VdS-Seal. All are equipped with the objective battery.
In 3 of 9 smoke detectors had to be replaced prematurely the battery. One of the batteries was also corroded.
No sign so 10-year life.
I can therefore only advise from these batteries.
PS: The battery is labeled "Made in USA".
