Very nice fridge for our coffee bar in the dining area

For 12 years, a Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator ministered in our dining room (coffee bar).
The power consumption was 630 kWh per year a little high and the compressor is not the quietest, which is why we wanted to establish a new one.
Important for us was that the new one also ice maker, cool fresh water and a flap to remove chilled drinks without opening the door has.

We are very pleased with the Samsung brand, the customer service is quickly available, we opted for this refrigerator.

Hurdles when ordering:
When ordering we were surprised that no return of old equipment was selected, although the text of Amazon, efforts are encouraged.
Amazon offers for these great devices to actual no return service, what we got confirmed by the customer service from Amazon.
Luckily we were able to organize 3 strong men to remove just before delivery the old device with the aid of straps from the old place.
Even the weather was just over 0 degrees, so that we were able to temporarily store the food in the garden.
Only the frozen food we need to temporarily store in another chest.

Delivery:
The delivery took place on time and the two gentlemen on behalf of DHL packed the unit outdoors and then transported to the refrigerator with a hand truck into the house.
I was afraid that this type of transport is not the best, and have pushed for risers, but it did not want to fall back to.
And promptly the right refrigerator door opened during transport to the house and a good piece had a bump ...
Amazon offered to us that replace equipment.
Since the damage in the lower part was, we needed the fridge for food in the garden, we decided to keep the device (and a magnetic metal sign with a Harley Davidson to install there).

Tip:
If you have "only" 70 doors in the house, it is possible to reduce by disassembly of the device on doors 60 cm wide.
This is relatively simple and can be carried out for each.

Commissioning:
At the site you should align the refrigerator with a spirit level.
To skip the device and move backward to roles are discussed below.

With a filling capacity of 10 liters of water, an operating pressure of 3 to 5 bar, some ice cubes should already be producible.
There is also even more pressure containers, which can be deposited next to the refrigerator.
So you can water damage already excluded in advance.
There are also water stopper, which are equipped with several sensors and can stop the water supply in an emergency.

To open the bar compartment on the left side, you press boldly in the middle of the flap in the upper part and already the door opens forward.
In the beginning it was a little stiff, but this has put a few holes.

The compressor is very quiet and the front looks through the stainless steel look very good.
The cleaning of the front is simple and unlike steel, no special cleaning needs to be used.

Contrary to Figure 7 are located below the cooling zone 2 drawers for fruits and vegetables, no. 3
It lists included only 2 drawers.

Then, in the instructions on page 30, a drawer named "Cool Selcect Zone" listed in the cooling section (Thanks to Dani).

Next is on the fridge a rectangular increase of 520x260x55 mm (white top and bottom aluminum) facing the wall.
Here some technology has been installed outside the refrigerator.
Tall people can see if the unit is free in the room, this increase quite.
With a plastic splint or footer in the color of the refrigerator can be part of this but dress well.
Other colors here make sure good.

Positives:
Very quiet operation and the chilled and frozen is properly cooled - all areas.
Fruits and vegetables remain fresh longer - due to the high humidity of 75 percent.
Ice cubes Preparation and withdrawal of the dice or the water better than predecessors.
Lighting inside very bright and all areas are illuminated.
Magnet hold anywhere on the fridge, very handy find (list, photos, towels, etc.) I
Power consumption is very low in relation to the size of the refrigerator.

Negatives:
The temperature indicators are off permanently, which I think is a shame (but of course, saves electricity).
Temperatures will light up for 10 seconds when you touch the control panel or the doors open - Perhaps there is a trick ;-) I'll let me know.
Filter change indicator and operating status of the ice maker permanently lit in a beautiful blue tone.

Warranty: 2 years and that is important, 10 years on the inverter compressor.

You can use the original filters for about 25 euros, but there are also Identical from the accessories trade.
3785 liters total volume filter has a cartridge: 180 days = 21.03 liters per day.
Who consumes more water, should change the filter sooner ;-)
Whether such a filter is necessary or not, everyone should decide for themselves.
However, if a filter is used, a change must be carried out in the interests of health after half a year.

Addendum:
If you keep strong smelling food in the refrigerator in the vegetable bins, then it comes through the ventilation function of the refrigerator to slight odor attacks ;-)

This one had solved the old refrigerator by a better closure of the subjects better.
However, lacking the "old Kühschrank" which I think is very advantageous ventilation function of the chilled goods.
