Serenity is used with me on the Amazon Fire TV as a substitute for the original Plex client. As a player I put this one the MX Player.
Of the functions ago Serenity is the same as the Plex Client in about. The difference is mainly the surface. Serenity looks like XBMC - I like it.
The biggest difference is a missing feature: Serenity currently not supported transcoding of Plex. This is precisely the reason why I use it. My Plex Media Server is CPU-technically not the power to transcode it then konnt hangers / dropouts during playback.
With Serenity it runs without problems ...

Play videos smoothly: Thus a nice alternative in conjunction with Plex Media Server, which does exactly what it should
