My little got him on his 3rd birthday and therefore runs every day in the kindergarten. The backpack is highly recommended. The back is reinforced and extra padded so that no matter what is being transported the child nothing can picksen in the back. The strap is very well fixed up, so he is going not so fast if re is often times worn on one side only. In addition, many subjects Dinger offer accommodate. All in all, definitely highly recommended for children from 3 years, before that I think he's too big.
