Very reliable router

The market for routers is not so simple, because just not showing the reliability of the devices from the specifications. So far I have always convenient devices, eg simple Netgear router and last multiple TP-Link devices used. However, these favorable router I often had to reboot because the devices have often risen. Also, there have been problems with data throughput. I did not want more.

This Zyxel device I purchased after I read a positive test in the CT earlier this year. My conclusion after a month:

+ Had run partly under high load the device. So far, I had not a single reboot.

+ So far, I only use the somewhat outdated n Wi-Fi. Compared to the low TP-Link router that I had before, I have a simple n-WLAN USB Stick from Asus, which connected to the PC in the study, now a significantly higher data throughput. In addition, a utilization example of the uploads no longer leads to a drop in download speed. Overall, the bandwidth is shared sent. The device also beherscht DFS, so it can avoid the already occupied channels by choosing a different channel itself (even in the luxury class not common). Further, it can simultaneously send the 5GH band, you can assign multiple SSIDs (eg for guests) and it dominates the new AC mode, which I did not previously tested for lack of AC-peer.

+ The device is easy to disable adjustable times. It consumes relatively little power (according to CT test also compared to other devices, such as the AC-router from Asus).

It comes naturally to it, for what purpose or which special function so you bought a unit. For me above points were important - here I have not been disappointed. Therefore 5 stars.
