Positives:
- Installation and commissioning is relatively simple
- The use is very simple
- The fingerprint reader is very reliable
- The batteries will last very well. (In 6 months Approximately 30% consumed at 4-6 closures per day)
- In the event of a battery failure, there is a mechanical emergency key.
- No internet access frills could be hacked
Negatives:
- Between switching on the keypads and adoption of codes or fingerprint you have to wait 1-2 seconds.
Impatient have ran here twice.
- Too bad that you can not without "activation" locking up can.
- Poor operability in heavy rain.
Drops on the keypad must be wiped dry / It is better to mount the keypad in a dry place or to install a rain protection. The keypad is actually not designed for wet or outdoor installation and is not as advertised.
Caution: The WP (Weatherproof) version (60 Euro more) of the TSE 5012 has no Weatherproof Keypad! Only the cylinder Weatherproof!
TIP: Be sure to create a separate documentation and note what position you have saved what Key or finger. Not doing so, it is impossible to delete individual codes or finger specifically. The administrator Key should be noted, because you can not change anything without him!
I had even bought the e-Keys Burgwächter TSR 5103. The functioning as a Gararentoröffner also very nice but we never actually use them because they are relatively large and we indeed want to take any more keys.
The software TSE 5400 Software Light for reading out the cylinder I had bought. The software, however, the CD is not worth on which it is delivered. Very cumbersome and actually works only with the cylinder, but not the keypad. User management is not possible! The only benefit is the reading of the closing times of the cylinder when you need it.
