Among the different settings than the original, I can say anything definite, for that I know the original flash too little (my buddy has the one I've seen in action).
By the way, the fourth eye-opener is the light quality. Nice neutral and brings no color casts with (as I've seen in other "more favorable" -Blitzgeräte.
Why the Nissin with me?
I searched for a long time an affordable ring flash units that can be verweden not only at certain markro lenses. Since macro and portrait photography only 2 parts are my passion for photography, I've pulled myself always before purchasing an expensive ring flash. Now I'm finally stumbled several times over the Nissin MF18 and ultimately an acquaintance told me last week full of enthusiasm of the device (the network is not really a lot of reading to do so if then, however, very positive indeed). So, I've given n jerk. Watch and try out does not hurt ;-) What can I say much: Glad I've finally given me the jerk! :-)
Greetings.
PS Not that anyone thinks I would Canon hater. I know just the Canon MR14 of my buddy something. Otherwise I like the usual Disarming Canon Quality. But here I must say, however, that you get for a lot less money, a high-quality alternative which is in some areas even far more flexible (lens-use) than the original.
