After much back and forth I did not again opted for a 5.1 headset, but just for a stereo headset.
With the Sennheiser PC 360 GAME I then definitely found this sought (better) alternative! The sound is really really good, especially the bass makes looks very impressive without distorting or being too mushy act. Unlike Medusa, the PC 360 is also very good for listening to music. I must say that the sound also surprisingly comes close to the Sennheiser HD 595, because otherwise I use to listen to music. But the latter sounds then rather delicate yet and can come out each instrument better. The Bass likes to "default" but the PC 360 a tick better.
The spatial hearing in Games was at the 5.1 Medusa quite well, here the Sennheiser can but more than compete. Despite stereo can locate shots or explosions correctly.
The microphone is also excellent! Colleagues in TeamSpeak hear me very clearly. Very handy is the already mentioned here function that the mic is automatically muted as soon as it pops up. Very good is also the volume control on the right side - here you can quickly adjust the volume times without leaving the game or moving the mouse.
Noise, for example by my cellular phone is in contrast to the added poorly insulated Medusa not perceive.
Since I have a slightly bigger head, I can confirm the tightness of the headphones. Headache or the like but I do not get it. Unlike the Medusa the PC 360, a lightweight! That the headset but is already sitting a little tightening, I find not bad: it sits perhaps even in the next few years reasonable head without auszuleiern as did my old Medusa.
On a now new sound card, the "Asus Xonar Essence ST", the Sennheiser PC 360 GAME makes really fun! But even at the earlier use anywhere on-board sound (Realtek HD) already sounded the part fascinating! Whether games, music or movies - in all areas convinced me the headset fully! The price is in my view entirely appropriate. Here you can get a really good hi-fi and gaming headphones with a really good microphone! Great!
