This gyro is very pleasant to use, and it is very aesthetic.
however it is more fragile than the navir gyroscope which has a thick frame not plastic
the retro gyroscope is much lighter, and its metal frame is delicate, if it is dropped it will tend to twist quickly.
However, it is also the frame that makes it more manageable. (Which is a significant point, as it rotates 2xplus long.)
no need to have a great hand to arrive in the long run (unlike navir)
So I think it is perfect for an adult, the term has aenfant prefer navir gyroscope, because even by dropping this one will resist and it is fascinating for its red LEDs, but after use, I much prefer the retro gyroscope to its lightness and maneuverability. I consider less "toy" than the other.
