That reminds me of the currently required amount for the original for my application range but is a bit high, I looked around for alternatives. The current supplied by Khalia battery grip is produced by Meike (Hong Kong) and makes at first sight a good impression. After the first test run now a (provisional) judgment: 1) Processing: 4-5 Stars Leathering is good, but coarser than leathering of the camera, structure and color of the battery grip also differ slightly from the camera. All operating elements make a valued, solid impression - only the locking wheel to be mounted on the camera rattles easily. 2) Compatibility: 5 stars All functional elements are addressed as the original and operate that way. 3) mechanics / stability: 3-4 Stars Manufactured Overall quite stable (for example, a continuous metal ground plate for the tripod mount available) but in combination with the not quite light camera lens combination (I have the AF-S DX Nikkor 16-85mm used) the battery grip feels a bit "soft" on and has also minimalstes game for Body. For tripod use the handle is not suitable in my eyes.
Résumé: for 80 Euro is the equivalent okay if you can be satisfied with the above mentioned restrictions.
