I really must say that this lens compared to the first version, which years ago as a kit -. Was delivered with the EOS 350D lens inter alia, has made an incredible leap in quality. You can not compare the optical performance of the first version with the current. It is in my eyes after prime lens 1: 1.8 50 mm lens with the best price - performance ratio in the Canon - program (to APS - C sensors)
