I'm still fiercely on learning and practicing with the tablet - and it's really fun! The opportunities it provides, however overwhelm me something. But what's up to me and not to the tablet. For me as a hobby illustrator with the known "fear of the blank sheet" it takes me the same; it is a true asset! Also, I can well imagine that I would soon leave the mouse in the drawer, because the use of the pen is simply terrific. The working area of approximately A4 is also a good grip for my needs!
