I never imagined the keyboard somewhere else bought, because it is still not available in Amazon. I had quite a while on the wishlist, today it was finally time.

I've had various mechanical keyboards, so I previously stayed clear what to expect. So far there are no surprises.

The keyboard is with regards to quality beyond reproach. A massive debris of metal. The palm rest is indeed plastic, but with a high quality rubber coating, which is significantly more comfortable than comparable keyboards.

The killer argument for this keyboard for me were the floating keys. The switches are mounted directly on the metal plate, and not embedded into the keyboard. That leaves no room for crumbs and dirt.

The RGB lighting is a nice gimmick. The software is actually a bit awkward to use. The trick is: A lot goes through context menus. Simply everywhere to try right-clicking, then you should have discovered the key features quickly.

The delivery was only the keyboard and palm rest. I would have maybe a keycap puller or a few WASD keys with other desired structure (PSN some screenshots of K70 are circulating with such), but I probably would have not used.

Personally, I am very satisfied with the Cherry MX Brown. I already had all the 3 switches in use.

-The MX Red on a QPad MK85. Actually, good switch, very smoothly.

-The MX Blue I had a Razer BlackWidow. Although the Blue supposed to be ideal for paperwork, walked me quickly on my nerves. Both of the noise, as well as feeling. I'm a programmer and produce on the day a lot of text. The Blues were not for me.

-The MX Brown I have on a Cherry MX Board 3.0 already in use. For me, that are the ideal means. (I would have liked even tried yet Black and Clear, but they are hard to get).
The K70 RGB Brown, however, feels different than the MX Board 3.0, although both have the MX Brown installed. The keys are slightly higher, probably change the floating keys on some writing experience. The point I find the MX Board 3.0 pleasant.

But that does not alter the 5 stars for the K70. The thing I will hopefully have a long time.
