(War) very happy and I miss

Sorry for all those who liked my positive review so far.
But I have to downgrade definitely my rating. I know now that my next phone will definitely not be a Windows Phone more. This has several causes:

1.Selbst simplest apps like recipes Apps are clearly underrepresented in the App Store and to most inferior (Recipes Apps with only 10 recipes ...).

2. Who lends books or audio books via on-lending of the public library, knows that one eg the Windows Media Player 11 is required for the rights management of audio books. Apparently, the "inventor" of DRM 10 for audio books (Microsoft) but has forgotten to implement these rights on their own mobile operating system. In other words, I can, indeed play audiobooks that I borrow from the eLibrary with Windwos Media Player on Windows 7/8, but may not transfer to the Windows Phone her, although is deposited with respect to the rights that a transfer to mobile devices allows is. That is WP8 is not compatible with the DRM used by Windows Media Player. Honestly, really, no crap. If it were not so sad, I would writhe with laughter. (Even ignoring that there is no use in WP8 Store, could manage eBooks with DRM, in the Android Store I know at least one!).

3. The operating system crashes a lot, from far too often. It is logical that it takes a replaceable battery. Otherwise you can sometimes not revive the phone. It then responds simply no longer on the pressure of the screen-On button. Since then helps only: take out battery before it is sucked empty by an obviously crazy gambling app. If one is not noticed in time, it also benefits no longer remove the battery. Honestly, I thought that my cell phone is broken, because it so did not want to start. But I closed it but then again to the mains and behold: a progress bar appeared. ... It is for me, unfortunately, not reproducible, which app might be it. At first I suspected a Bergapp, then the Nokia Navigation, then xxx. But it seems to matter. Sometimes the phone crashes so on so that it only helps to remove the battery. And that's a real indictment. (Happens to me sometimes 2 times a day and sometimes also only 1 x in 2 weeks) ...

4. Xbox Music. Although is great, but also the only music streaming application, the music on the SD card stores. But the application is not in itself worth 9.99 a month. New Music must be consuming search (you are confined to Amazon and see what has come out for the new own musical tastes and seeks gradually in Xbox Music and invites it possibly down). There are in this application no extras like lyrics etc. It's a simple "listening your music but-think-yes-nothing-new-app". External apps like Spotify (class WP8 also dirt, but on the desktop thanks to external apps like laut.de or pitchfork) may not save on the SD card music. This is a problem just sometime.

5. While there are some "prominent" applications, but partly due to so ancient state that one can only be bad. Yes, there are Kindle for Windows Phone. But there is still a version that does not even know the German Kindle Store (only the US)! There was not 1 all the time! Update. Or wetter.com: no rain radar, simplest Weather ads. Or Spotify: no radio, only playing playlists, ever simplest application. And for 9.99? As Spotify users under WP8 I felt really taken me as not serious and therefore also canceled. The problem: While Xbox Music stores on the SD card, but is not comfortable or "great," but just plain boring and can not also.

6. There is absolutely no alternative applications. Alternative browser ??? UC Browser. Looks great, but the RAM of my phone is often insufficient. Then goes there on such a great window that the app now allocates memory for me. With alternative music players it does not look better. Xbox Music or Ovi or nothing at all.

7 Where even the joke that some content you download as a premium Xbox Music customer only as streaming content (so not really offline). So if you want to listen to songs, you should only go to the folder _always_ to see if there really aufleuchet the SD card icon.

And now my previous praise:

After more than two years, I have decided to separate me from my good old HTC Desire and change to the Windows Phone world. And I've decided for the Lumia 620, because it is small, a good size for this screen resolution has 8GB instead of 4GB of internal memory has (compared cell phone what the HTC 8S) and also looks quite good.

Equal first, because maybe the tip for some useful: the supplied headset you can actually immediately enter into the garbage. The sound quality is very miserable. I therefore use the headset of the Samsung Galaxy S3, which works fine. One can normally receiving calls and talk. In addition, you can thus use the Music app away: play / pause and volume adjustment of music and the phone call. The headset is available for a few euros on Amazon (bulk) and sounds very good for my taste. I've also used it with the HTC Desire.

Many reviews already go on the many positive aspects of the Lumia 620 a: the best is certainly the very good value for money, because even NFC is on board and therefore you are prepared for future applications. I have already tried the NFC feature: I could easily send contacts and Internet links via NFC to the Samsung Galaxy S3. Conversely, it worked with us not because Android sending contacts via NFC does not provide for (correct me if I'm wrong).

Overall, the phone is really very fast. Hardly occurs delays. The operating system is easy to use, since the menu structure is very flat. All important settings can be found directly in the list of the settings menu.

Also noteworthy is the fast connection to the Wi-Fi or on activation of GPS. As fast as I've seen anywhere yet.

Very good, I like the integration of Twitter in the contacts (ie one actually needs no more twitter app). Ruckzuck you have your timeline in mind (and my Twitter contacts are _not_ imported into my contact list). Connect to Facebook I did not go into, although I've got a profile. But FB just seems to me to not have a phone in the world, was no different on my Android. The import of the contacts was easy with my old Desire via Bluetooth. However, I a second Micro-Sim had at hand, so I could use both smartphones parallel.

The navigation system I was able to test well: as all the cards are not this perfect. Once we wanted to send over a detour the Navi, but we have the lady simply ignored and the known distance driven. Otherwise, there was nothing particularly negative to notice. Other than that the lady in the foreign city like some common (or faster) could give instructions. The map data is downloaded worldwide. Where the cards are very large, you can also select regions. In D. z. B. the states, which is very important when one considers the rather low internal memory of the phone (Saxony was about 70 MB in size). Due to the small memory has only _theoretisch_ worldwide offline maps. Because not WP8 provides that applications store their data on the SD card. So also the offline maps not ...

Now to what something hurts, but (so far) not so strong that I would deduct a star:
- The lack of ability of outsourcing app data on the SD card (only music, videos and photos can be stored on SD card) -> Sometime "müllt" internal memory inevitably
- There is no single network traffic monitor in Store
- There is now a Spotify app for WP8, but this may offline music (of course) put only on the internal memory.
- Many apps want profound Rights: Identity of the mobile phone, identity of the owner, location. Even simplest apps like a flashlight. It is sometimes not clear what these apps these rights need (an explanation as Android does not exist). It has certainly taken a while, until I had a flashlight that does not spy on me (?) Wants.
- The alarm is too simple: You can not set the snooze time, but has only two options when ringing: By pressing the Back button, the alarm goes off again within 2-3 minutes. Clicking on "Remind Me Later", the alarm clock at 9 minutes (which is much too long)
- I'd love to see the battery charge as a percentage in the status bar, but that's not possible. I can see them only in the settings menu in percent
- Loaded on the SD card albums will "torn" by MS, probably because of the cloud

Update 1 (4 weeks after purchase):
+ I can about the battery life now no longer complain. After 4 weeks of training, the battery as well as with my HTC Desire keeps by at least 2 days. Meanwhile, it is so that I after 2 days even still have nearly 50% residual maturity. However I enable tracking and data option only when I need them. WLAN I turn off outside my apartment.

o Sometimes you feel but the quite low RAM capacities. Some apps load times like 1-2 seconds longer (not immediately), z. B. iLiga, a super app for football results. But I can handle, I do not know it any differently. ^^

- The Spotify app has one major drawback, which I do not know if the problem only occurs. I heard in the evening with the Spotify app via WLAN to my channel selection, pressed pause, went to bed, then my phone was the next morning from (= battery empty). I thought of my supplied phone battery was broken and wanted to return it. After some time, the verification can not lie on the battery, as this holds without Spotify now uses 2 days by. Perhaps we should go to the "WP-Phone" solution Xbox Music Pass, but here I know, not everyone can Artists by sometimes be made available offline. Spotify seems to be pretty buggy.

Update 2: 6 weeks after purchase

+ There is a working app for OpenStreetMap. This is called "Simple OSM" and costs 1.99 ... They dominated routing for pedestrians (cyclists) and cars. Unfortunately, they so far has no offline maps, is thus reasonably usable only within Germany.

+ Some day trial period to Xbox Music Pass: I'll announce Spotify. Music Pass stores offline music actually on the SD card and the music is added to the museum's own collection. One must not only create playlists. So far, I also no restrictions on the downloads are noticed on your mobile. So far I could download everything about Pink Floyd, Anathema, Amy Winehouse, etc.

- The battery remains somewhat unpredictable. Perhaps the BS. It happened once that probably one app at full power running in the background and my quasi battery sucked empty. Charged battery, after 2 hours, only 67% ... Two more hours and my battery was empty. Unfortunately, there is no under WP8 analysis tool, where you can see which app how much battery consumes. A restart is then saved, and the next load the phone behaved normally. But beautiful is not.
