The shoe is a little clunky, but still my boys can (3years) run good at it. The shoe should be cleaned very quickly, even if one was in the mud. A good selling point for mothers;) In addition, even small children can use the shoes alone and undress. Since we only recently have the shoes in use, I can not say anything on the shelf life. But the shoe makes me a solid, well-made impression.
