Unfortunately I had to, as some have also noted before me, find that about 1 cm from the edge goes from a clearly cognizant stripe through the image. Unfortunately, I was looking for when I had already bought the printer on the Internet only after this fault description.
I have the Canon Support contacted in order to find a solution. Subsequently, the two responses from Canon:

We hereby would like antwoten and regret that on prints a line can be seen from the edge of approximately 1cm to your inquiry to the SELPHY CP910.
We regret to inform you that it is in the case of a line not a defect that must be performed in the service workshop. In that case, it is a property of the SELPHY Printer. We certainly understand that you feel this line as disturbing.
It may well happen that the line also occurs when you try a different device. Unfortunately we have no information about the cause.
We regret that we can not give you any other information on the subject and thank you for your confidence.

Dear Braukmann,
Thank you for your feedback. The line on the printouts may occur by design with the SELPHY devices. Depending on the subject line is more or less visible. We can not promise that the line is not visible when a andreren device.
