Basically, you can connect mobile or Smartphone directly, but I recommend anyway dazwischenzuhängen a buffer battery to abort the loading operations not by clouds or temporary shading / letting restart. On sunny days, I could invite different phones without any problems, it only took considerably longer than previously calculated ...
Unfortunately, the panel of anchor has (and the fact I feel the reviews of other users and by statements of support confirmed) nowhere near the specified strength. More than 0.5 A (per connection) are never flowed even in bright sunshine and perfect alignment. With two connections, each 5 volts which gives a total output of only 5W place as alleged 14W.
At the same time (same conditions) gave the panel a different manufacturer (my favorite after completion of the test series) exactly twice, although it is only half as large and according to the manufacturer max. 11 watts on 2 terminals does - and does indeed. To be fair to say that this panel was also expensive at 30 EUR.
What is remarkable about the panel of anchor that you thus (theoretically) at night even could load with an energy-saving lamp, the mobile phone, because the electronics (so ever one is installed) switches itself not from with minimal charging current (0,07A). To bring here a comparison made in practice: The best ever I tested panel (11W) switched on a sunny day - due to the angle of incidence on the windowsill - at 16:00 clock from. The battery pack at anchor panel has "loaded" on this day until 20:30. In other words: The anchor panel does not need direct sunlight. Even with rain still flows (minimal) power.
I have measured all values with a small USB adapter plugs with digital display. (Which was also used in all other tested panels.)
As for the contact with the manufacturer, I emailed with several (as I suspect) Chinese women. Besides the fact that the answers partly to a week were coming, they were helpful in any way. Either can not or will you provide customers with no panel that meets the specifications of the product description.
Conclusion: Technically, the panel does not even begin to near the manufacturer's specifications. It offers a but (one of the few) the ability to capture still residual current even in extremely low light conditions. The question is whether to feel comfortable phone or buffer battery permanently in this droplet charge. With adequate sunlight I certainly have no hesitation to charge my cell phone directly with it.
Addendum: (new model):
Less than 24 hours after my original review (2 stars) has a lady from the German! Reported email support and informed me that the telephone support is designed only for Germany, which is why Austrian mail inquiries end up in a call center in China.
After that was resolved, everything happened very quickly: On the same day was observed (by serial number) that my panel comes from a defective pre-series. A new panel was sent to me (for free). This has now arrived and is working properly (up to 2A). One recognizes the defective pre-production models in mind that only "anchor Solar Charger" is written on them while standing on the new model explicitly "ANCHOR 14W Solar Charger". Visually one can distinguish the panels (pre-series and new model) by the label: [...]
New Conclusion: Too bad that there is no automatic recall was made after it was clear that for months a defective series had been delivered. I can only advise all to report to the Support, if the power does not fit. When the German support has then responded, everything went fine. 5 Star is available for this setting (we send out junk times and wait, who complained) in no case, however, in view of the fact that the new panel is working properly, are 4 star in it.
