I always bought Seagate without ever having had problems, but trying to find a quiet 500GB drive and low conso config for a small office and have always heard good range WD Green home, I said to myself why not. Well .. great evil took me: the drive slammed after 4 months (bad sectors)!
I have a Seagate 7200.12 imppec which is still running after 5 years of service ...
In short, WD again. Buy Seagate is good.
