The new HDD runs partly even quiet and inconspicuous as some of the old in the same size of Seagate, Samsung and Hitachi, so an old motherboard with maximum possible SATA II speed for bridging and security to the purchase of a new system in addition at lower cost WinXP also for a while as Win7 system can still be operated. Maybe it even extends to the new Windows update from Microsoft on Win8.2 or even Win9 (?) The new motherboards offer Although almost all with SATA-III full support for SSDs, but the selection is great and the processor socket should maybe not necessarily be a discontinued model.
