A Feast for Crows: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book Four (Paperback)

Customer Review

I am among those who have long been waiting for this sequel. The more stale the taste, this book has left in my mouth. Martin is in fact remains a very good writer, but at the level of the previous volumes, "A Feast for Crows" not.
How did we mention multiple other recent, not all characters are treated in this part. The only previously known from prospects Jaime, Arya, Sansa and Samwell. Apart from Jaime but devoted no more than 3-4 chapter. Real progress but there is at no.
And so I'm already at the main problem of this book. The story bobs only to himself. So could summarize everything interesting and relevant to Brienne in a chapter. Everything around Samwell even in a paragraph. The partly rapid succession coming events of the previous books are no longer to be found here. This is all the more regrettable when you consider how comprehensive and complex the plot was part. If the pace should be reduced so we're not done in 20 volumes.
Very strange, I find especially Martins justification for the decision to divide the story in this way. Apparently he wanted a "To Be Continued ..." avoid at the end. Nevertheless, none of the storylines will be completed and in many characters there are even classical "Cliffhanger".
To now, we must not wait for the next, but the next book to learn about the sequel now. Toll. Well at least that is it much easier for this part than in the past.
Unfortunately, also highlights the preview of "Dance With Dragons" not the voltage, because it promises a similarly lame pace.
One can only hope that Martin comes back into gear. At the moment in any case it is in idle!
