An overdose of happiness?

Clear! Special Edition pre-order and to the single for the non album track. In bright sunshine at the Müritz first heard "Born This Way" and a few tears shed. You are alive. What a great song. Has Rosenstolz found their way back to wit, vitality and creativity? This interesting question to answer the new album. The single-Bonus "God is today without my prayer in his bed" sounded to me as should the doldrums and the dangerous swamp of melancholy to leave because finally came back a title, not just Love Affair love and self-pity turned, even if it has always been in the proud roses at the center of their subjects.

So now the album. Musically and thematically occur Rosenstolz order on the spot. Do not develop further. The statement of Anna and Peter on the making of sounds dangerous to me: "We check with each new track, whether it suits us - if he as Rosenstolz sounds." This comparison with the past can really block new ways. Too much expected? Maybe yes. But after the heavy fare of "The Search Continues", a disc that you may only be hurt if you want to melt into self-pity, probably a corollary of burnouts of Peter, I was so hoping to positive, contagious vivacious music of the two. And of course for them, because you have been with me since "Sugar". Their lyrics often scary fit exactly to my own life. They gave me strength, joy and energy, let me be thoughtful or laugh at myself.

Whether the new album this also creates? I do not think so. It is well done, it's nice, but it sure no skin off your feet really, who accompanied Rosenstolz and your way. Some lyrics are banal to kitschy (eg ashtrays or Beautiful). Musically missing Esprit or surprising moments. Apart from the great theme song I like only overdose luck (Swing dancing or type in Mitsch), energy (also has a lot of them) and Somewhere in Berlin (Beautiful Blues number) really good. There is nothing else here, which I would say: That sounds even better live determined. Because just live Rosenstolz was always very convincing. My conclusion is still weakly positive, because I have not (yet) the impression that the Rosenstolz continue making music primarily for themselves and not for a targeted audience. Press through your music from that which moves you. And if your life just does not run funny or entrains not full of energy, you will have no happy moments that you can pass on to us.

Anna and Peter: I wish you that your overdose get lucky soon. Trust I stay you anyway. ;)
