We must decant

This novel is read in one go, as the interest rises to a crescendo. Yet the start stagnating a bit, it's slow, probably voluntarily on the part of the author. Does this not a story of patience? We wonder when will be discussed the famous stone, the legend comes from mythology.
Also wanted probably the black side, sordid story of shameless, an oppressive atmosphere ... Sensitive souls refrain.

After a moment the story illuminates a little, we find the brilliant idea. The set still maintains, despite everything, the same heavy atmosphere, scary ... until the end, I will refrain mentioned.
However style is fluid, without any obstacle, easy and enjoyable reading. The author has a high sensitivity, emotion emerges on every page and we take heart.
After reading the story continued to haunt my thoughts. Going about my business, "Patience Stone" never left my mind. The dark and shocking aspect faded in favor of literary qualities, cultural and psychological of this novel.

Personally, I see in this book a kind of a bit special psychoanalysis of heroin, the Afghan woman. The stone, silent at will, playing the role of psychoanalyst.
I like to investigate how the story could have been slightly different if the author was a woman. At the same time it is interesting to see how a man can appropriate the spiritual universe of a woman, and note the judgments he deals with other men when it identifies precisely a woman.

"Patience Stone" is a book I will remember, although I have read a little too fast ..., as I often do when I'm anxious to know the outcome. Do not follow this bad example. Patience!
