My requirements for EDC flashlight:
Cree LED, as many lumens at least 100 and up
Most compact yet handy dimensions
Massive housing, and stable housing, since every day here
With a AAA or AA battery befeuerbar So in almost every supermarket in this hemisphere purchasable (or with Eneloop batteries)
With a switch on the back of the lamp (important to avoid accidental activation)
With strap or clip for attaching the EDC, on your belt or pocket
The search proved more difficult than expected. The Amazon search returns too many results. Despite some filter I never came from a selection of around 150 lamps. Any desired or suitable properties can not filter unfortunately.
The limitation on the me known manufacturers made me not really.
By chance I came during my research on Youtube on Sackis lamp test. He has the T10S tested detail: under extreme conditions, see his "Torture" video.
Also, the channel of Hill-Bily TV FuwaForestFilm has helped me in my decision, here the lamp is presented and tested in several videos. Look yourself in these videos. But one thing about this: The lamp holds what promises
Behold, Amazon offers this lamp also. Looking into the recessions: I too am not who saw the first Sackis Quälvideo video. See z. B. Leopold Linhart or DaFux
Alternatively stood the T20S, to the successor model to buy. It offers 255 lumens more light output. The reason the T20S not buying, were the expensive CR123A batteries or the expensive 16340 batteries. For this I need a new charger again. Go for me a no-go, as described, batteries should be purchasable anywhere, if need be at the gas station
Fulfillment of criteria and price:
For nearly 40, this lamp is not cheap, like others in this segment, there are for about 15, - less the Aluversion the T10. So I ordered this lamp in stainless steel and have to say: Just what I was looking for. Point charge!
On the technical data I'm not a closer, these have already been mentioned here
Scope of supply:
The T10S is delivered in a small silver-colored, very attractive tin box with window. It comes with the lamp itself, a clip, the cone diffuser, a concise little guide and the accessories in a bag: 4 mounting screws for the clip, ie two to spare, a small Allen key and a spare seal
First Impression:
It meets all my criteria and makes a mistaken impression of high quality.
The build quality is awesome. Perfect milled. Drill holes deburred, feels solid and stable in the hand. What I like about the same: the click switch has a fixed pressure point
Clip screwed, inserted AA batteries and off you go. Three lighting modes: switched through by clicking. Inadvertently turn almost impossible. By the lamp head can rotate by switch modes.
In addition to the click switch to a milled slot is a lanyard for z. B..
The light levels are: Firefly, middle level and high.
At the highest level the lamp is quite warm after a few minutes, but is still good to keep in hand.
I have taken the option "Cool White" and am impressed by the light output.
Although the halo is not as clean ie with smooth edges like my Led Lenser P7.2 but surprisingly light, especially when you consider that only an AA is required. Compare Led Lenser: 4x AAA. Also you have the power in relation to the dimensions and a AA battery: Gigantic.
The maximum burn time with one AA battery I have not maxed out, the stakes have now been played always in the minute range. I'll update here after further testing the recession
I had my car in the garage, for repair. The workshop manager, the vehicle was driven in the assumption on the stage. The Master had with a small penlight. With that, however, he could not tell exactly the defect. He wanted to bring his larger neon lamp. I offered my T10S, earning him and his colleagues randomly present a laugh. After I switched on the lamp, this are silenced immediately. Both were so excited that I wrote them the name of the lamp (they told me ideal for a workshop)
Two weeks later, I wanted something to buy Engine oil, and drove back to my workshop. There was also the champion again to swing. He was laughing when he saw me and show me proudly his new T10. His colleague bought a. Both have also become fans.
In gratitude for the good recommendation I had to pay nothing for the oil. Even the lamp has become cheaper for me.
A very minor complaint:
The product description on Amazon the T10S is completely in English. This is for me is not a problem, but could deter other buyers who do not understand English. Surely you can translate it, but not everyone does and the translation result is not always the best. Here Amazon should make improvements, even if they are not the seller but the shipper.
Conclusion
For 40, - like the lamp will not be cheap to buy, but offers 169 lumens, an excellent light, a lamp body made of stainless steel and excellent workmanship
The price-performance ratio. Who buys this lamp a faithful companion, certainly for many years. Also perfect as a gift
Wers cheaper likes: Aluvariante also looks very good and costs about 25, -
Without ifs and buts: 5 stars. The rating of the lamp has nothing to do with the gift of engine oil
:-)
