For the first course, falls on from the outset that Korpiklaani now increasingly rely on Finnish texts, just two English songs there are. However, this brings about a problem: could the Finnish title of the predecessor remember quite well, so that is a little more difficult here in songs like "Karhunkaatolaulu" or "Vesilahden Veräjillä". But no matter, because of the music here can distinguish them in any case. Opened the right rocking "Let's drink" the festival is still relatively easy and fun, but with brilliant flute inserts, so it is a bit at atmospheric title track. Not quite as fun, but still cheerful and with a nice forest feeling rocking "Tervaskanto" going well. Violin, flute and co. already here much in the foreground create a brilliant sound throughout your album. Although it sing the exact texts of the songs like this is difficult, something you can sing along always. "Viima" will be a bit slower, but no less rocking and "Veriset Apärät" it goes back a little faster to the point. "Running With Wolves" is the first of two instrumental pieces and with just under four minutes earlier a real song without singing than just a break. You can hear that the piece also because it rocks neat and has a beautiful melody. In "Isku Liekkiön" and "Palovana" then for the time being not so funny. Both songs are a bit more serious and sound of the mood here, as if the beer and Metvorrat would slowly run low. "Liekkiön Isku" is a little faster, rocks and beautiful sounds of choirs, the whine somehow annoyed, just awesome. "Palovana" however, is proceeding somewhat more slowly, but also expresses beautifully out of the boxes and makes it unmistakably clear that beer is not to be lacking in this festival. If one could finnish, then the chorus would invite also wonderfully to sing along, but that will have to turn in all non-Finns well. "Karhunkaatolaulu" is happy again as hell and is racing with breakneck speed going. "Misty Fields" is the second English-language song on the album and is also very happy, also here you can sing beautifully in the chorus (assuming you know the text). "Vesilahden Veräjillä" leaves the festival quiet and relaxing end and has similar character as "Tuli Kokko" or "Old Tale" of the two predecessors. But with just under seven minutes maybe slightly protracted, it comes with a very nice atmosphere and a bit sad mood. Great for closing definitely. At the very end then come still the joyous instrumental "Nordic Feast", which also has a gorgeous melody.
"Tervaskanto" is the logical continuation of "Tales Along This Road" and who was not already hot with this and rather swears by the first two albums, which should buy this album not necessarily rushed, but listen first. I was anyway blew it. It offers a beautiful, slightly woody atmosphere, which is enhanced by the variety of Finnish texts. The songs are fresh and full of atmosphere and make fun without exception. The traditional tools (read: violin, flute, accordion, etc.) were asked very to the fore here and drown out the guitars so with their great melodies. For me one of the best albums in 2007 and so far Korpiklaani's climax as that. Clear recommendation!
